I live in central Florida so we have tons of orange trees around. I had one in my back yard but it died so it was time to take it out. I originally had no intention to keep the wood but after cutting the trunk I realized it had some amazing colors in it. I turned it into this bowl which is about 7 inches across the opening because the original tree split into two sections when it was growing so the trunk was much wider than a normal orange tree. Despite my efforts I have yet to find another section of orange tree that looks this nice.

Nice job. That sure is a lot of color.

Very beautiful, and unique. I’ve never thought of citrus trees as a source of wood for woodworking. Great job.
