Bent Lamination Candle Holders

This is a bent lamination between cherry and construction grade 2×4. I cut the spots for the candles on the drill press with a forstner bit by clamping the workpieces down with the cutoffs from the lamination. If I were to make these again, I think I would make some type of template to follow with a pattern bit because using a forstner bit on this type of angle left a lot of garbage on the bottom of the holes that I had to clean up with sandpaper.

Looks great. Christmas gift idea. Maybe I will put the last layer on after I drill out the holes.
