This was my first peppermill and the first time I’ve tried this particular finish. This was a present for my mom. It is a bit over 8” tall and turned from Myrtle Wood. The finish is shellac and a 3-part friction wax. I was quite pleased with the way the finish turned out. I took the picture in a hurry as the peppermill came off the lathe about an hour before we had to make the 5 hour drive to the Okanagan to visit her.

Nice pepper mill. I’m sure your mom was pleased. I recently had a friend bring me back some myrtle wood from Washington. I’m anxious to give it a spin. Thanks for sharing.
