Jigsaws are for cutting curves. But,sometimes you have to cut a square hole in the middle of a board. This jig is simple. Take a thin, flat, straight board. Attach a piece of square stock to it. Using the square stock as a guide, saw off the excess. Now you have a guide that you can put right on a line. And even a $7 jigsaw from the pawn shop, with a $.75 blade will cut fairly straight!
