I had seen some tea light holders similar to these except they used the contrasting wood down the centre. I felt that they could do without this piece and make it appear as though there is nothing holding the two sides together.
Having three sisters i made one for each for Christmas(this is not all they will get)

Thanks all. Yes I did forget to put in the woods I used, anyway they are Beech and Sapele
