So I picked up a used Nova 1624-44 with some goodies – this is the first thing I could think of to make. I wonder how this turning experience is going to go…

Congrats to you. Funny when I think of it, that was one of the first things I did also. Good luck turning and lets see some postings from it. Use some of that cherry.

Im Jealous I’ve wanted a lath for years. As far as your turning experience is going to go, My guess is round an round

I also bought a used 1624-44. Great lathe. I do not do any spindles unless it is to make a piece to fix something. I make a lot of bowls and it does a great job. I am sure the bigger brand names do a wonderful job at a much higher price. Happy turning as you will be hooked.
