This is my new router cabinet. It is based on the one built by the NYWS several years ago. The plans were downloaded from http://www.crestonwood.com/. However, I made a few adjustment here and there to suit my likings. It is made of 3/4” oak ply and some leftover poplar for the face frame. I stained the drawer fronts and then applied 4 coats of semi-gloss poly over the whole thing. The drawers are 1/2” ply. Now I just need to accumulate a bit collection.
I have a switched outlet installed on the side to plug the router into. I then plug the cabinet into the wall and use the switch to power it on and off. Pictures 2 and 3.
I purchased the table top from Rockler a little over a year ago and had been using it by placing it on some saw horses because I didn’t have room for this. We have since had a garage addition to the house and now I have LOTS of room!
