I finally finished the flag display case for my wife’s grandfathers burial flag. It is made from quarter sawn oak with walnut splines. Then finished with two coats of Danish oil and two coats of wipe on poly.and finally one coat of Johnson’s paste wax. I am pretty happy with the way it turned out I am sure he would be proud.

Neat! I participated as an honor guard member for a military rites funeral today. It was unusual as three flags were folded and presented to the wife and two sons. The wife received the flag that draped the casket and the two additional flags were unfolded and refolded prior to presentation.

It looks good and well made, a great tribute to our serviceman. I’m sure your wife appreciates it. Great job!
