The Wolverine Grinding Jig system works great for all of my turning tools except the Ellsworth gouge. So inspired by Cap’n Eddie Castelin, I made this rest from scrap and a 24” piece of 3/4” steel tubing (donated).

Now you need to make the Ellsworth jig. Capn has this info here. I think it’s in one of his videos that he describes making the jig on the cheap (and maybe you’ve watched it already). I welded one up and it works great. You can just touch up your gouge quick and easy.
