Edit 3 Dec 2014 – Sketchup model available over here

I made my wife a Glue Gun Cady as she was experiencing troubles with her Glue Gun dripping all over and falling over.

She posted it on Face Book on an Arts & Crafts page and she imediatly got two orders! All of a sudden I must make some more. I decided that I had to improve on the design to streamline it for mass production (Maybe about 10 or so).

I also wondered about wood. The first one was made from scraps from the Scrap Bin. Light Bulb! What about my floor blocks that has been traveling with me since before I was married? I previously made some items (see my Projects from rosewood floor blocks) , but I still have plenty left.

So this is the Glue Gun Cady Mk II

The MkII design makes it possible to hold a large or a small glue gun. The first design is custom made for my wife’s small glue gun. I am quite positive that different brands will differ in size and therefor I had to change the design so that it would accommodate different sizes in glue guns.

Very well made and super useful! I may have to try a few of these. Looks like good gift ideas for the upcoming holidays.
