Curly Cherry Lowboy

This is a work still in progress. The top has to be flattened and edge detailed and some minor shaping on knee blocks left. It is made from cherry with curly cherry top and curly cherry drawer faces. The shell on center drawer was all hand carved. I have genuine antique hardware that will be installed. It will be finished with shellac and I may or may not dye it to age it. I will post more pics when I get it finished.

I have added a pic of the top. It still needs to be flattened and edge detail added but this is a preview of what the top will look like. Just added mineral spirits in photo to highlight.

Wonderful piece and great craftsmanship as well. The curly cherry is spectacular. I can’t wait to see it with a finish.
