My third Green Woman of original design. Hand carved with gouges as a relief wall hanging. She has all the mystery of the medieval green men who warned that the forest was a scary, dangerous place, but yet she is a little Americanized because more of her face is exposed than on a traditional green man. Fun to work on. I tried to get a more open face without an actual smile. Basswood finished with a beeswax, carnauba wax, and turpentine mix.

Very nice…I like this one more so than the last version, but both are very good…well done.

Thanks, everyone. I appreciate the feedback. When you stare at your own stuff for so long, you lose perspective and sometimes notice mistakes more than anything else. But that’s how we keep improving…

Great carving! Like the details on the leaves and the lips, very interesting piece.
