My sister recently had her first child, the first of our generation in the family, and needed a cradle for the kiddo. Unfortunately it took me rather long to get the thing done, but here it finally is. Strips are steam-bent cherry formed on a 5-station mold, with solid cherry endpieces, a maple rail and cherry stand with curly maple tenon wedges. The brass is decorative and was kind of fun to learn how to form on the anvil. Glad to have this one done.

Very nicely done. I also like the mix of materials, you did it very well.

Did you follow a plan?

You’ve done a fine job on this. It looks great and I love the design.
