I built this cabinet while still working in the hothouse.
The first picture was taken on our back porch shortly after finishing it with spar varnish.
In the second picture it is in it’s present home on the shelf below my workbench.
The third picture shows the top drawer that is used for router bit storage. After building it, I discovered that some router bits are too long to store in here upright! Best laid plans and all that …
The other drawers house accessories and routers.
The drawer pulls are routed into the face at 30 Degrees with Padauk inlaid on the inner surface. The rest of the cabinet is red oak and red oak plywood.

Hi Ken;
Great job on this cabinet. Those extra long router bits are always causing trouble.
That’s why I never plan anything.lol
Great job.

I cannot recall where i got the plastic bit holders. I’ve just searched all the usual online stores and cannot locate them.

Nice looking cabinet. Almost too pretty for the workshop.

You could put this in your house and tell everyone it for your silver ware. Nicely done.
You can find the bushing at the site below.

Nicely organized! I’m sure it makes it easy to find what you’re looking for instead of looking in one of the 8 locations you may have it in (not that I know anyone like that or anything).

Great organization – I’m in the process of a design now. I think I’ll label the bit sizes next to the holders as you have for some. Nice idea…thanks!
So where’s the router? Do you have a router table?

There is a Dewalt 621 in the bottom drawer. Also have a BenchDog tabletop router table with a Dewalt 625 in it.

Outstanding job. That is awesome box. I love the dovetails in the top. And the perfect handles. Non-snagging recessed pulls. A very safe and wise choice.
