I’m finally getting my winged Kingwood bowl posted. This was the second winged turning, done after doing the winged goblet. I don’t have a lot of pics of the sides, but they curve in similar to the skirted bowl and goblet. I chose to leave in the critter marks, along with the pith contrasting the dark wood. Hopefully I’ll have some more winged items, and possibly some in process production of them to see them from start to finish.

Really nice bowl, so glad you kept the lighter colloured wood in the turning the contrasting colours look great. The grain pattern in the dark wood is beautiful…well done.

I like working with winged projects, this one definitely fit. I’ve got a couple of pieces I’m waiting for the time to be right to try out on also, one is a piece of Camphor. Looking forward to the sinus clearing from that one :-D
