I saw this project somewhere, can’t quite remember, but I wanted to make it. So I took a mental picture and to the shop I went. My first attempt but I thought I would give it a try. I had a square piece of yellow cedar (not sure about the measurements just grabbed it from the junk pile and started turning. On the top side of the piece for the lid of the small compartment I chose a darker red cedar which I thought would be a good contrast to the yellow. All in all I am happy with the result and it fits in well with my collection of (what am I going to do with all this woodwork) woodwork. I’m starting to run out of room. My friends are happy as I give a way a lot of my work as I have no room. Makes their wive’s happy.
