I had another request for my Oregon designed jewelry box, this one from my buddy who just recently celebrated his first year with his girlfriend. He said he wanted to get some kinda western themed design to it if I could, and this is what I had in mind! The majority of the box is douglas fir since it has a really nice honey color that I thought would blend very well with the few hints of tigerwood I also wanted to incorporate. I decided to try something new as well by adding the two strips on the top to give it more contrast as well as a completely unique look. I also went ahead and transferred a couple words and the dates on the bottom of the box as well as throw on a pair of cowboy boots to help set the theme up. The handle on the heart are usually suppose to resemble an “I” in one way or another, and this one is no different. With the hidden drawer, I went ahead and made a “1” as the handle to help represent their first year together as well. I’m about to go drop it off with my buddy now, hope they like it!
Comments and concerns and new ideas always very appreciated!
Thanks for looking :D
