I have 4 Easy Wood Tools and love everything about them. Needed a new handle for a bowl gouge and used Craig’s design. Have lots of this laminated material and got this idea.

This feels and looks great to me.

Hi Robert & Belg1960,

I believe the Craig he’s referring to is the inventor of the Easy Wood Tools. I don’t have one myself (I made mine) but from the pictures online here’s the dimensions it looks like he used (for a full-size tool):

Handle length – 16” (including .75” ferrule). The following are the distance/diameter pairs – put fair curves in-between:

3/4, 1 (This is where the handle meets the ferrule)
3 1/4, 1 1/2
8,1
11 1/2, (1/32 detail)
11 7/8, (1/32 detail)
12 1/4, 1.25v
12 1/2, 1
15, (1/32 detail)
15 3/8, (1/32 detail)
15 3/4, 1 1/4
16, 0

Good Luck!
