This again is a take off from Mark Gardner. I stretched it out a bit and made a tall thin vessel The seam is beneath the top and is fitted like a box lid. The top is glued in place. The piece is hollowed the full length of 12 inches. The total height is 14 inches. The piece is dyed with bordeaux on the base and part way up. Then I used bright red for the rest, holiday colors. The top has copper leaf and patina was added. This is a birdseye maple with very little birdseye in it. They did not seem to take the dye You might be able to see some spots.

C & C Welcome

Now, this is really gorgeous. You’ve done a wonderful job on this.

Looks fantastic to me.

-- Bob, Western Australia, The Sun came up this morning, what a great start to the day. Now it's up to me to make it even better. I've cut this piece of wood 4 times and it's still too damn short.
