This box was a commission for a very nice woman named Elena. The sides and top are made from maple, and the handle, splines, rails, and tray are made from blood wood. The inside is covered with black felt, and the tray slides smoothly on the rails. The box has false feet that were done on the router table with a 45 degree chamfer bit. The lid, handle, and top edge of the box received a chamfer also. Finish was deft clear lacquer in a spray can. Very pleased with the box.

Very pretty box! Like the clean lines and the contrasting splines. She will love it for sure. Great job!
