Nice looking box…did you cut it on the bandsaw? Seems a bit thick to cut on the scroll saw

Hawaiilad, Well, it was done on the scrollsaw. I have a Hawk G…. I took it to the very limit.

Thanks Ward, I like that it had some spalting. Gives it a little extra character.

Hawiilad, Just thinking that the thickness includes the top and the bottom piece. so you take that away and it’s about 2” thick where I scrolled out the sections.

2” cut on the scroll saw is really pushing it, but you sure did a great job. Was the wood pretty hard or soft?

Hawaiilad, yea, both… softer in the sapwood area and hard toward the heart of the wood.
