Made these today just goofing around. Board is sycamore and the handle and knife are spalted maple. The hickory nuts are harvested from shag-bark hickory trees in my backyard and are oh so very, very good! They are a pain to shell but are well worth the trouble. The knife was just something I made and has no practical purpose at all except as a prop! Thanks for the looks and comments.

If it works as a knife, then it has a practical application. Should work for a butter or jam knife. It all looks great.

-- Mother Nature created it, I just assemble it.

I love the sycamore wood grain, Jay. The nuts look good too.
