Fireplace Surround book shelves

This is another set of built-ins I made in my family room. They were made first. I am an avid reader and we needed some book shelves. It was previously useless space, and did not take up much of the floor space.
I ran LED rope on the back side of the stiles, across the top of the fireplace and down the stile on the other side. I have them controlled by a timer and give the perfect light while we are watching a movie.
