This bed is made of Cherry and Walnut with a hand rubbed oil finish and was shipped to Seattle Washington for a customer. They told me kind of what they were looking for and we designed a bed to suite their needs.
The posts are solid Cherry pieces and the top rails connect with sliding dovetails.

That’s a beautiful bed and I bet your client is very happy.

Nice work. I like how the tree sits proud as opposed to an inlay. Easier methods definitely have their place, and this is a perfect example of such. An inlay just wouldn’t have that same ‘pop’ or texture.

A hint of shaker style with simple elegance. At least its what it says to me. Very nice work.
