Bullseye Pistol Range Box

Joined the local Bullseye Pistol team, and everyone had range boxes… Well, no way I’m going to buy a metal one for $200! Mostly cherry and 1/2” plywood to save weight. The scope mount swivels up so I can use the scope between shots to check placement, the pistol tray holds up to three pistols, and of course, there’s target storage in the back.

Fun little project. Took forever, because I only have limited shop time with all that’s going on with work/kids/projects, etc. I should have thought a bit more about the plans, (which I drew up without a handle, for some reason) because I realized after everything was built that I had put the hinge too far back. The angle of the front piece should have been much narrower, allowing me to put a real handle on and still have it centered. The rope/turned handle was a solution to a problem of my own creation.

All in all, I’m happy with it.

Nice Job Ryno, those are handy to have!
What is that Stainless number with the heavy barrel?
I’ve never seen a pistol like that before, but it sure looks Accurate!

Nice one! I’m not shelling out long Yankee Green for one either. I should do that too. My tools box is a bit out of place ;-)

Nice carry case, and suppressor. Yours has a lot more style than the overpriced metal boxes.

That is a nice box. I would have loved to have one of those when I was shooting Bullseye League.

littlecope- I believe the front pistol is a Ruger Mark III Stainless steel, looks like it has the target barrel on it.

DavidBethune- In the states Criminals & Cops and Law abiding citizens can have Hand Guns.
