Project Information

I finished (almost) this "Gloria In Excelsis Deo" candle tray today. This is a great depiction of the Birth of Christ with the Star, Manager and Angles. Placing a 4 inch jar candle in it really illumines the star. The elements, Star, Manager and Angles, are removable for storage.

By the way, if there are any scrollers looking this one is not for the faint of heart. There are way too many detail cuts and resulting thin wall areas for most scrollers. This tray measures 8 and 1/4 by 8 and 1/4 and the main base of the tray is made from White Ash and all of the elements are made from maple. I will place it on my webpage soon with pricing and more detail.

This is a Shelia Landry pattern and can only be found in the current issue of Scrollsaw Woodworking and Crafts. I am sure it will be placed on her webpage in a couple of months.

Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoy.

Very wonderful pattern and your skill has done it justice. Your ability makes it look very easy until you
look closely and discover that detail cuts and thin walls are indeed very difficult. Looking at your past
projects it seems you are getting ready for Christmas. Thank you for sharing.
