Several years ago a neighbor asked me to build her a coffee table, saying she had the material/wood already. I went and looked at what she had, and it was a pile of 2×6s and 2×8s. Hmmmm…. so, I said “ok”.... Took her pile of 2Xs home and planed and jointed it, and turned it into a coffee table, as requested. Put a light oak color stain and a few coats of poly on it, and actually it ended up looking quite nice!!. Put the table in my truck and drove it over to her. She was very thankful, but seemed a little dissappointed that it wasn’t “rustic”, as she had hoped it would be. So yeah I understand, some people like….. rustic

It’s all about what the customer wants. Keep it up sir.

Beautiful table! It has lots of rustic charm. I’m sure it will sell well. Great job!
