This is the first dresser I built; it’s about 13 years old now!

Very Nice Geoff. Can i ask you what your process was for staining that pine ? I seem to have not had much luck with Pine – even with the pre stain conditioner. What did you use ?

To finish the dresser, I remember sanding the absolute crap out of it before wiping on a pre-conditioner. 2 coats minwax stain and 3 coats of a thinned poly. It’s been a long time, but it was all big-box-store purchased stuff… I don’t think I really did anything special – just lucky with the result I suppose!
