6’ by 3 1/2’ American flag made from poplar. All dimensions were calculated to be proportional to the actual dimensions of the American Flag. Painted then sanded to give distressed look. Applied coat of stain to age the piece and sealed with a polyurethane. The stars were layed out using a template I made on autocad to ensure exact dimensions.

Beautiful project, Norm!!!!!!!!!! Is it made in pieces painted and glued together or did you paint all the stars and stripes on one board?

Thanks for sharing!!..............Jim

Thanks Guys,

Jim: It is made from 13 pieces of poplar that i attached from behind with 4 strips running perpendicular to connect them all together. I hung it on the wall using the french cleat method but used two of them because of the weight.

Great project! A cool accent piece for the dining area. Like the distressed look. Well done!
