Fairy Door: Rustic

Yesterday – I found a Gnome Door on my gazebo and today a Fairy Door showed up in my living room! Holy moly I’m being over run with the little creatures!

The Wood
It seems they used a piece of poplar (probably left over from one of our other projects).
They carved out the panel door and painted it yellow. Oh, nice paint choice, my friends! And I did notice some wood chips on my little dollar store chisel set. I thought that set wouldn’t last one project and now it’s been used over and over and over again.
The door frame looks to be poplar that has been stained creating a lovely contrast to the door.
The door handle is part of screw that I use to make clipboards and books. Hmm now I have only 1/2 of one left. Oh those little guys!!!! Sheesh.

I’m glad they chose to make it rustic to match the rest of my living room!

(oh and just because there is “scrapbooking” on the TV does not mean that I do scrapbooking. It was just a commercial).

I tried that “Just cuz there’s porn on the computer don’t mean I’m into porn” excuse with my wife…went over like a lead balloon. So does your “I don’t do scrapbooking” one either. Which also means there’s another website in the making…Scrapbook/Jocks/Tenders/Refurbers.com right?

LOL!

I love to see little touches like these around a space. cleverly hidden gems, Easter eggs for the curious and observant.

Debbie,

I am sure that you would love this book: How to Find Flower Faries

Oh and I trust you on the scrapbooking thing, really! :-)

Jolene

Oh and sometime when we get our shop insulated and sheetrocked we’ll be up for a tour. It is on the calender for later this month, I’m just crossing my fingers that it actually happens.

haha :) Thanks everyone.

Dadoo: ah.. yah…. ummm… lol

Scrapbooking: I love photography but can’t be bothered with the scrapbooking part (or putting them in an album actually lol)

Scott: I’m the same as you … “oooooh look at that. I didn’t see that before” :) gotta love it.

Jolene: The book looks very interesting and I bet it’s beautiful! For the shop tour: any time you are ready. I love doing tours! I just have to sit back, let Douglas do his thing, get surprised just like everyone else with the tour and then get half the credit for it!! lol And I don’t even know I visit ;)
Let me (or Douglas) know when the shop is ready and you have some photos for him to play with. Thanks for volunteering.

First gnomes, now fairies, what’s next? It seems you have a lot of visitors. While I can’t picture any of these showing up around my place, they are a most entertaining occurence. With some pretty nifty craftsanship to boot.

Hi Ms. Debbie;

You sure are spending a lot of time chasing those little guys around.

I think you should just leave your door open, so they stop poking holes all over the place.

Good work for a gardener!
