This is a small vessel that has been hollowed. It is sycamore wood that was turned wet. The top is rusted paint that has a patina applied. The base is copper paint with a patina added. The piece is only 5 inches tall. Inspiration comes from a demo with Mark Gardner. the last photo gives you the size of the piece. I have written a blog showing a step by step of this small piece. If you have interest in the process visit the blog.

Just love that finish. Congratulations.

-- Bob, Western Australia, The Sun came up this morning, what a great start to the day. Now it's up to me to make it even better. I've cut this piece of wood 4 times and it's still too damn short.
