Button Tufted Ottoman

So my dog decided that the stuffed ottoman that we had looked a lot like the stuffed squeeky toys that we bring him and he had a grand old time gutting it beyond repair.
Not sure that he is convinced that what he did was wrong, I felt it wise to stay away from replacing it with another upholstered version.
This is solid cherrry, the “cushion” from a block about 5×12x17. The carving was fairly easy and I turned the legs all as one and then cut them apart.
Finished with shellac and paste wax.

Someone is going to sit on that expecting a soft landing. Nice carving job!

-- I just got done cutting three boards and all four of them were too short. (true story)
