This was a very fun project for me. It started out doing etched glass work for cabinets in customers bar area with an open closet space. Customer debated about putting bi-fold doors but felt it was too tacky for the area that they had created. I suggested building a cabinet to fit in the space with matching etched glass, light inside shining down over glass shelves and to keep the wine theme could carve the border with grapes and vines. They where thrilled at the idea and very satisfied with the end result. I used birch ply for the shell. The whole front is maple. I carved the border pieces with my craftsman carvewright. Stain matching was a little challenging but I was happy with the result.
