Know-Knot Clock

My first attempt at hand carving. I had this really odd piece of lumber sitting in my shop forever. It was so weathered it almost looked like driftwood. I almost threw it into the burn pile when it hit me to make a clock out of it. It was originally going to be a swinging pendulum clock, but I didn’t have quite enough money to buy that one, so I went with this and added the carving later. I call it the “know-Knot” clock because there is “no knot” and you “know not” what time it is until you hang it. :P

Interesting piece—so subtle I almost passed it over. You really need to look at the third picture to understand—at least I did.

I had the same thoughts as HillbillyShoother. I almost didn’t look. The strange title is what drew me in and I’m glad it did. A very unique idea and a cool piece.
