A collection of boxes I’ve made.
The purple one I made for my GF. I think it’s birch (but not sure as the wood came from a pallet) with a custom purple stain and hand carved design on the top. It also has mortise and tenon joints.
The two side-by-side are ones I made for my nephews for Christmas one year. They’re not very elaborate because my shop skills were very rusty at the time :)
I made the celtic knot box about 10 years ago using nothing more than a coping saw and some files to make the finger joints. This was my first attempt at making a box.
After my shop had a few more tools and I a bit more experience, I created the dreamcatcher box for some friends for X-mas. It has felt-lining and custom inserts as well.
The last box was inspired by bandsaw boxes, although I don’t have a bandsaw. I used a scroll saw to cut all the pieces on this one. After it was done, it looked really plain-jane, so I added the embellishments on the top and sides.
-- Leave out the fiction. The fact is this friction will only be worn by persistence. Leave out conditions. Courageous convictions will drag the dream into existence.
