I picked up a long slab of Basswood and cut the end off to use it as a coat hanger up at the cabin. After a little clean up and sanding I seal coated it and poured the two part epoxy coating over it. The coating is the same stuff they put on some bar tops. The metal hangers I picked up at an antique store up in Eagle River, Wisconsin.

Looks great, like the rustic appeal, the natural edge of the gorgeous wood and awesome finish.
