First bread knife from a kit form. First picture is the knife on my first cutting board. Now need the wife to make some artisan breads to try it out on.

Mike yes they are normal knife blades. I bought my kit from Rockler with three pieces of wood and a blade. You can also just buy the blade, which is what I will do next and supply my own wood

Nice! I was going to order the kit once then just the blades as well, but I read a few reviews that said the system they anchor the blade with was subject to breaking..did you find it flimsy or did you modify the mounting system?
