For a video I’ll be making about bandsaw boxes, I need to get some experience with the wee creatures. I just dove in, gluing together some scrap wood and turning on the band saw. I think the biggest lesson learned was to add the feet later. They were a pain to try and sand. The wood is pine, but I stained the drawer front with vinegar and rust stain to set it off. I actually like the way the glue lines are visible, yet the stain makes the drawer look like it might be made of different wood. And yes, that is a pan-head screw for knob. I got lazy. This was my first attempt and it has a few flaws, but my wife took possession of it to hold hair clips.

Sweet little box, and it already has a home. Great job. I’ll be looking for the video.

Your hooked now! Once you make one you have to make more! Like potato chips, can’t make just one!

Nice Dave. I like the way you oriented the wood. Never seen one like that. Different is good! Thanks for sharing.

Nice looking box. I am looking forward to making one of these when I get a band saw. I like the feet.
