I removed this connecting rod from a Ford 4.0 just as you see it, no piston or rod cap connected. I thought it would make a pretty cool pen holder/conversation piece for my auto repair shop checkout counter.

Its a good idea, but looking at the big end did they actually try to make it home…LOL, what a wipeout…

At one time I used a TRW Powerforged 396 piston for an ashtray.

I think that engine may have had an issue or 2.

I do like uising “junk” for artistic things.

Neat idea; sorry for the poor owner of the Ford! Will definetly be even POORER now.

That is one gnarly looking rod! Their pain is your gain I guess. Great idea for the use of it.
