Here is a project I just finished up. It’s a mobile kitchen island with a drawer at each end. The butcher block top is made from 8/4 beech using the edge grain as the cutting surface. This stuff make for a really nice cutting surface and it has some really cool flecks when quarter sawn, I don’t know why more places don’t offer quarter sawn beech because I would buy some. The block is 39” x 26” x 1 3/4”.

Great looking and well made, the top looks great and the legs very solid.
