I made this Bible Box for my wife several years ago. The box is made of cherry. The cross inlay is wenge. The corners are dovetails. The lid has a book stop at the bottom so a bible can be read on top of the box. Inside the box is a pencil tray, and the tray comes out to reveal a hidden compartment. Dovetails were made with my Leigh D4 jig. I finished the box with Minwax Wipe-On Ploy.

It’s a wonderful box and a nice design. I know that she must be thrilled with it.
