Miter Saw Stand

Project by CoolDavion posted 480 days ago 625 views 0 times favorited 8 comments Add to Favorites Watch

I turned a discarder cabinate into a stand for my miter saw.
I’ve had the cabinate in my garage for year, with the thought of refinishing it, my wife nixed that idea.
The top had screws poking out of it, and the doors were broken.
Added some casters and now I don’t have to use my miter saw on the floor.

Great job! I like your thinking! I have outfited most of my shop from other people’s throw outs. People are always wanting to get rid of table and stands for one reason or another. This mindset save me money so I can put it to better tools for the woodshop.

Like I said I was using the saw on the ground, not for the best working situation.
I thinking that I might also us this as a base for a router table. Using the same holes and swap the saw and router table out.
One thing I need to do is add some “support wings” for longer material.
