I was asked if I could made a couple beds for an American Doll. And I first thought, whoa, my wife wants a new bed….. and then I found out it is a special doll little girls play with. They just wanted the frame and they are going to paint it and decorate it… make the bed and bedding etc.

Here is 2 of 4 to be made… once it got out I was making one…. it turned into 4 beds. They are 21 in. long, 19 in. high, and 15 in. wide.

You always do nice work; but, as I tell my wife, being “Y” chromosome handicapped I can’t relate to this. Hopefully some of our female LJs can appreciate and comment.

Nice job. I’ve made American Girl furniture. When they find out you make, you’ll be making more.

I got an order for one of these from a 10 year old that comes to my shop with her daddy. This might be a good style to copy, if you don’t mind.

Hunter, I developed this idea from a 2002 scroll saw magazine article for a canopy barbie doll bed. I’d say, knock yourself out.
