After I made the previous coasters I wanted to make one for myself. Since my other big interest besides woodworking is bicycle riding I thought this might be a good idea. I made this out of a piece of scrap walnut about 3/4” thick x 4” wide x 4” long. Using the same method to route out the recess area for the cork I hand carved the remaining portion. I feel like the 3/4 thickness looks to be a bit too thick, I may decide to re-saw thickness down to about half.
