This is a combination remote control organizer, magazine holder, and keyboard and mouse carrier (for the computer connected to the TV). I made the a combination because 1) I have too many controls and not enough table space, and 2) without the magazine section it would be really long and skinny. It’s made from 1/4 in maple plywood a friend gave me from one of his projects.

I’d never used edge banding, and next time I would change my order of operations. I had it all assembled and then tried to edge band, which worked but was a bit difficult. The stain was a gel stain but used some Zinsser sealcoat cut by 1:1 with denatured alcohol first, which I think made the finish a bit less even. Just more practice.

Remember when the ONE remote had a wire attached to the B&W TV?

Thanks for the comments. Hunter, I’m sorry, but no. Before my time. I do remember a VCR with a corded remote, though. And my parents did have two dial-controlled tv’s.

Can’t beat projects for storage and organization. Great idea and design, will surely keep the table mess free. Great job!
