Here is a Cedar Adirondack chair I designed and built a little while ago.
Just another Adirondack hehe…

Also it was LJ’ers that told me to do this when I showed them my big pile of 4 foot cedar cut offs!

Thanks again guys!

Nice job Jordan! The wood looks good. Any finish on the chair?

Very nice. Now you can relax after a long day in the shop.

It actually turned out better than expected. It was a total improv build, I just got some basic measurements from some random drawing online for the seat height width etc, etc and then started building.

I didn’t use a patten on the runners/support legs just clamped two boards together and took off with my jig saw. (There again lucky!)

No finish on it except of the runners/support legs at the bottom (minwax red mahogany stain single coat).
the cedar I have has some very contrasting colors so I just tried to mix them up a little to add a little bit of subtle contrast.

It looks good and inviting. Like the natural colors of your cedar. A great addition for outdoor relaxing. Well done!
