So this is my second attempt at a carved bowl/tray. I made the stencil myself using picture editing software and a laser engraver, then adapted it to the stock I was working with. Carved the lines on the “cap” of the acorn with a file that was sitting around.

I’m think Pistachios in the main bowl, shells in the top… you?

Turned out nice and I like the design you come up with and also the carved detail .

kiefer – size is about 10” wide x 12” tall. yeah I know its crazy but the top corner of a file was what I used for the carving… I’ve sanded across the grain so many times in my life I knew I didn’t need much to make it stand out! haha

Beautiful acorn, I like those lines on top, realy authentic. Check my acorn bowl I made from walnut also.
