Hey fellow jocks. I haven’t posted in quite some time. But I’ve had my tools to wood a lot lately, and thought I’d post a few pics. These are the first piecesI’ve ever made with the intent of putting it for sale, so any comments would be helpful, and appreciated

This is a set of Farm table, Side table, and bench I made (for sale) over the last few weeks. The construction is all pine. Tops have a multi layer stain with 2 coat polyurethane finish. the bottoms were stained to match the tops, and then white crackled and hand rubbed aged white paint.

All the apron/leg joints are pegged mortise and tennon. the top is attaches with apron slots and Walnut table top buttons (I had the walnut in 6/4 and my oak and maple just didn’t seem thisck enough at 7/8)

all the construction is new, not reclaimed, so all of the sdistressing adn antiquing was hand work, mostly chisel work for the top scaring and the wavy sides.

Really proud of this set, and response has been fantastic, but not sold yet.

I took these to a crafters/refinisher/junker sale this weekend, if you arecurious about all the stuff in the background, and yes, I did display another table (blue/slate legs standing up on end in the background of the wavy edge pic)

I love the combination of wood and paint together and your pieces are excellent examples of this.

Great work!

Beautifully distressed furnitures! Like them, have so much character. They look authentic and well crafted. I’m sure they will sell well. Great job!

Have your say...
