I am a fan of visiting local breweries, buying a growler for later use and of course drinking their beer. Of the course of time I have collected a number of growlers and decided they would be fitting in my pool table room where a lot of beer gets drank any ways. I had some red oak left over from my hay-rake table project which I used for the corbels and went out and bought a single 4×8 sheet of red oak plywood from Lowes for the actual shelving. This project moved fairly quickly because of the simplicity of the joints and cuts. I was a bit of a task to ensure the continuous shelf was level all the way around. I learned that there is a low point in the ceiling!! I pleased with how it came out. I used Mini-Wax “provincial brush-on stain and sealed it with shellac in a HPLV spray gun. Now I have a spot to place and display my growler collection from all over the southwest! The last picture is of small coffee/tea shelf I build with some extra material left over. Built in the same manner as the pool table shelf. Lots of dowels!
