A commissioned piece made from 1” thick basswood. Decided to make it thick so it could be displayed more prominently. The designs are wood burned and a very small amount of carving to accent the corners of the frame. 5 coats of amber shellac and then cherry stained and rubbed out. Then 5 coats of wax and high buffing gave it the look I was after. I included a pre-finish picture so you can see some of the detail a bit better with no glare. Thanks for looking.

Wonderful board! It looks authentic and has a lot of great details especially the wood burning and carving. Truly a keeper!
